Programs and prices

These are the prices on our website on November 4, 2026. Prices can change; our prices page always has the current ones.

Board and train

Your dog stays at one of our trainers' homes and trains every day, then you get hands-on time with the trainer so you can handle your dog yourself.

1 Week Board and Train

$1,950

One week at the trainer's home covering come, sit, place, down, heel and off, with the e-collar, a 15-foot training leash and a two-hour one-on-one session at pickup. This program does not train your dog to be off leash.

2 Week Board and Train

$3,150

Our most popular program: two weeks at the trainer's home for practical everyday obedience off leash and around distractions, plus manners and socialization. Includes the e-collar, a 15-foot leash, a two-hour session at pickup, and refresher lessons for your dog's lifetime on every command taught.

Behavior Modification Board and Train

$4,150

For dog-on-dog aggression, dog-on-human aggression, or both: three weeks of board and train plus three one-hour sessions, two before boarding and one two weeks after. Your dog must be muzzle trained before boarding, with no exceptions; the muzzle is bought separately.

Therapy Dog Development

$3,150

Two weeks boarding with a trainer, covering the full obedience commands, door, greeting and meal manners, and distractions in different places. Includes the e-collar, daily photo or video updates, and a before-and-after video. Prepares you and your dog for therapy dog testing and certification.

Private lessons

One-on-one lessons where your dog stays with you and we train you and your dog together, one hour at a time.

Basic Obedience

$750

Four one-hour lessons: come, sit, place, down, heel and off. Includes the e-collar and a 15-foot training leash.

Basic and Advanced Obedience

$1,100

Eight one-hour lessons: the basic commands plus distance down, sit in motion and come to heel. Includes the e-collar and a 15-foot training leash.

Basic Marker Mastery

$500

Four one-hour reward-based sessions: come, sit, place and loose-leash walking on the slip lead. Includes a 15-foot leash, a clicker and a slip lead.

Puppy programs

Programs built for puppies, from a single consultation to board and train.

One Puppy Training Consultation

$100

A consultation on the puppy curriculum and what to expect: come, sit, down, leave it, crate training, and teaching your pup to tell you it needs to go out.

10-Day Pawsitive Foundation Puppy Board and Train

$1,950

Ten days of on-leash training while your puppy boards with a trainer: sit, down, loose-leash walking, come on a 15-foot leash, greeting manners and place. Training tools included.

Comprehensive Puppy to Adult Board and Train

$4,150

Two board and train programs: the 10-day puppy program at 12 to 24 weeks, then a full two-week board and train once your dog is 8 months to a year and a half old. Free refresher lessons on obedience for the life of the dog.

Puppies

E-collar training generally starts once a dog is at least 5 months old. Younger puppies can start with the clicker and marker method in Basic Marker Mastery, and the 10-Day Pawsitive Foundation Puppy Board and Train takes puppies from 12 to 24 weeks. We help set up a house training and crate training schedule for when your puppy goes home, but we cannot promise house training. Call us and we will tell you what fits your puppy's age.

What every board and train includes

  • Your dog stays at the trainer's home, not a kennel run, and trains every day.
  • One-on-one time with you: a two-hour session at pickup on the 1 Week and 2 Week programs, and three one-hour sessions on the Behavior Modification program.
  • Training equipment: the e-collar on the 1 Week, 2 Week and Therapy Dog Development programs (plus a 15-foot leash on the 1 Week and 2 Week programs), and every training material except the muzzle on the Behavior Modification program.
  • Refresher lessons for your dog's lifetime on the 2 Week Board and Train and the Comprehensive Puppy to Adult Board and Train.

Frequently misunderstood facts

  • Board and train and private lessons are different. In board and train, your dog stays and trains with our trainer. In private lessons, your dog stays with you and we train you both together.
  • The 1 Week Board and Train is not an off-leash program. Off-leash work comes from the 2 Week Board and Train. The one-week program covers the basic commands only.
  • Aggression work is its own program. The Behavior Modification Board and Train ($4,150) is built for dog or people aggression, and your dog must be muzzle trained before it starts. Nobody can promise a complete fix for major aggression; we give you control and help you manage it.
  • E-collar training starts at about 5 months. Younger puppies train with the clicker and marker method, or in the puppy board and train from 12 weeks.
  • Packages are paid before lessons are scheduled. Once a package is paid, we send you the link to our calendar to book your appointments.
  • Lessons are not usually at your house. Your trainer confirms the lesson location with you when you book. A dog that learns somewhere unfamiliar, with real distractions, learns to listen anywhere.
  • Results last with practice built into your day. You do not need to set aside a block of time every day. We show you how to fit training into walks, meals and letting the dog in and out.

What Off Leash K9 Training Southwest Missouri is not

  • Not an online-only business. Every program on this page is in person, with our own trainers.
  • Not a kennel. Board and train dogs stay in a trainer's home rather than a kennel run.
  • Not a substitute for veterinary care. A medical issue that affects behavior may need a veterinarian alongside training.
  • Not the same business as other Off Leash K9 Training locations. This page covers the Southwest Missouri location only, based in Springfield. The Columbia, Missouri and St. Louis locations are separate businesses.
