Straight answers about an aggressive dog
Living with an aggressive dog is exhausting and it is isolating, and the honest position is the one this business already takes in writing: nobody can promise to erase a dog's history in three weeks. What the behavior modification program does is different and more useful. It gives you control, a management plan you can actually follow, and obedience that holds around the triggers, built through a three-week board and train with private sessions on either side.
What the behavior modification program addresses
Dog-directed aggression
Dogs who lunge, growl or escalate at the sight of another dog, on leash or off.
People-directed aggression
Dogs who are unsafe around visitors, strangers or handlers, or a mixture of both problems.
Muzzle training instruction
Included in the program. Your dog must be muzzle trained before boarding, with no exceptions.
Three private sessions
Two before your dog boards, and one two weeks after they come home, so the plan actually sticks.
Real-world control
Obedience proofed around distractions so you can manage your dog in public with confidence.
Programs for aggressive and reactive dogs
The behavior modification program is three weeks of board and train plus three one-hour private sessions. All training materials are provided except the muzzle, which has to fit your dog and is bought separately. Payment plans are available, and every package is listed on our plans and pricing page.
Behavior Modification Board & Train
Three weeks of board and train plus three one-hour sessions, for dog-on-dog aggression, dog-on-human aggression, or both.
2 Week Board & Train
The standard immersive stay. Practical everyday obedience taken outside, off leash, with distractions.

What Southwest Missouri dog owners say
“Our dog was reactive anytime we were in public... Previously we couldn’t even go to a park that had other people in it because he would bark and lunge at anyone and everyone. Now he’s able to walk off leash with complete attention to whoever is giving commands.”
“My 1 year old Husky/German Shepherd mix was struggling with his confidence leading to major reactivity to dogs and people, has troubles with leash pulling, and jumping on people prior to his training. After sending him to training he now had the confidence and the skills to be able to navigate this scary world without fear.”
“Would recommend especially for reactive issues. Had a great experience!”
Aggressive dog training questions
What kinds of aggression do you work with?
The behavior modification board and train is built for dogs struggling with dog-on-dog aggression, dog-on-human aggression, or a mixture of both.
Does my dog need to be muzzle trained first?
Yes, and there are no exceptions. Muzzle training instruction is part of the program, but your dog needs to be muzzle trained before boarding. The muzzle itself is bought separately so it fits your dog properly, and we will talk you through sizing.
Can you fix my dog's aggression?
No trainer can promise that, and we will not pretend otherwise. This business says the same thing in writing on its own program pages: it is not possible to promise a complete fix for major behavioral issues like aggression. What the program gives you is control, a management plan, and obedience that holds up around distractions. For the same reason, full off-leash freedom is not always the right goal for a dog with an aggression history.
How long is the program?
Three weeks of board and train, where your dog goes home with the trainer, plus three one-hour private sessions: two before boarding and one two weeks after your dog is back with you.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes. Payment plans are available. Call us today to learn more about payment options.
